The Second Annual Brno Short Story Writing Contest attracted
51 entries by the submission deadline of midnight on April 30.
The judges will have the month of May to order their
personal selections. The final winners will be determined when the judges meet
in early June. Winners will announced in mid-June.
The contest winner will receive 6,000kc. Second place gets 2,000kc and third place gets 1,000kc. The BSSWC is a free contest, with only one entry per person. The short stories had to be in English, 2,500 words or less, and include the theme “Out of the Box” in some significant way.

Yet while normal and understandable, this is also something that's addressable. (Not entirely fixable, of course, but at least addressable.) But facts aren't the way to do it -- simply getting better at announcing the who, what, where, and when of things won't really convey the flavor of this lively place. For that you need stories.
