"Hope" to See You at the Next Meeting, Jan. 16

The last meeting was fantastic. We had a lot of ideas thrown around and a lot of great constructive criticism. I hope we can keep it going into 2018 and beyond.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday, Jan. 16 (the third Tuesday of the month). The time has changed to 7 p.m. to accommodate busy schedules. This meeting is tentatively schedule for Zahrada Ambrosia (Údolní 37); I’ll finalize it with an actual reservation on the next normal business day. Hopefully, it will be a place more conducive to speaking.

The writing prompt for this meeting is: Hope.

Please send your writing prompt to brnowritersgroup@gmail.com or bzalubil@homtail.com by Tuesday, Jan. 9 so that I can package it up with the others, send them all out, and give everyone ample time to read and consider your work. I’ll send out a reminder on Jan. 2. The writing prompt should be less than 1,000 words. It is meant to be a glorified freewrite to get your writing muscles moving.

As with all writing prompts, “Hope” can be interpreted in many ways. And, of course, you don’t even have to use it at all.

Sorry it took me a while to get this information out. I’m very happy to have seen all of the continuing members and to have met the new ones at the pre-Christmas meeting. See you all in 2018.
