Next BWG Meeting is Aug. 15

The next Brno Writers Group meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 15 at 7 p.m. The meeting will again be at Pivni Opice Restaurant & Pub (http://www.pivniopice.cz/ ; Joštova 4 Brno 602 00; at the Ceska tram stop). A table is reserved in the garden area in the back of the restaurant.

So far, there is only one story to be critiqued. However, all who choose to join are encouraged to write a short piece about the broad topic “Overcoming adversity.” We will read these out loud as part of the meeting, then discuss them.

The material to be critiqued is available by request. If you would like to participate in the meeting, please send an email to brnowritersgroup@gmail.com. Bring your comments to the meeting in order to discuss the positives and negatives of each piece of work. The author gets your comments after the meeting. Hard copies are best. Or, if you cannot attend the meeting but would like to contribute, send your comments by email to BWG and they will be delivered to the author.

Future BWG meetings will be held on the third Thursday of every month and follow a similar format with different members' work. Material should be made available a week prior to the meeting (i.e. the second Tuesday of the month). Writing prompts and additional activities will also be introduced as the routine is normalized during the fall and winter months.
